How to Change Google Home Alarm Sound
There are a couple of different ways you can set an alarm with your Google Assistant speaker. You can either use it as an ad-hoc alarm or you can set up recurring ones for specific days of the week or times of the day.
Ad-hoc Alarms:
You can set an alarm using your voice by simply saying “Okay Google.” These ad-hoc alarms work just like other ones you’ve already set with the Assistant. You can also snooze them for ten minutes or say “Okay Google, stop” to shut the alarm down.
Recurring Alarms:
The Google Home app lets you create recurring alarms that will play at the same time each day. These are a great way to wake up to your favorite song or playlist every day, and you can even set a specific music service as your default provider in the Assistant app.
Music Alarms:
The alarms you set in the Assistant app also play from Google Home devices, like speakers and displays. However, they don’t work on other Cast devices (such as TVs) that are associated with your Google Home device.
Radio Alarms:
If you have a radio in your home, the Google Home app lets you set an alarm that plays your favorite radio stations. You can also set a radio station as your default music provider in the Assistant app.
Character Alarms:
If you’re looking for something more fun and interactive, Google Assistant now offers alarms that feature characters from Nickelodeon shows like “Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” and “Lego City.” These are available in Canada and the U.S. for now, and will be coming to other countries soon.
