8 Reasons to Enroll at USA Self Defense Centers

  1. A VALUE BASED CURRICULUM
Values such as, respect, honesty, integrity, good sportsmanship, getting good grades in school, and proper behavior have been traditionally and still are the foundation of the martial arts and our classes.
  2. A MOTIVATION BASED CURRICULUM
Positive attitudes are developed by our students as they set their goals to increase their skills and obtain their new belt levels. Positive reinforcement is given each student to be all that they can be.
  3. A LEADERSHIP CURRICULUM
Karate students are leaders. Each of our students are encouraged to work with each other and share their knowledge and skills with students who need help. This gives each student an awareness of their own self worth and increases their self confidence. This transcends the martial arts school and manifests itself into the regular classroom and daily life enabling each student to be a leader and not a follower.
  4. A PHYSICAL FITNESS BASED CURRICULUM
The martial arts develop physical skills such as eye hand coordination, gross motor skills, improved balance, increase total coordination, and additional self confidence based on their newly learned skills.
  5. A WRITTEN CURRICULUM
Our written curriculum consists of a student handbook and manual enabling both the student and his parents to follow the course of instruction and always know when their next promotion will be.
  6. A CONVENIENT CURRICULUM
Convenient class times offered Monday through Saturday. Day and evening classes are offered to fit your schedule.
  7. A FAMILY CURRICULUM
Special family discounts enables the whole family to work together and build a strong family structure.
  8. A CERTIFIED CURRICULUM

Student Creed

I intend to develop myself in a positive manner and avoid anything that would reduce my mental growth or my physical health.

I intend to develop self discipline in order to bring out the best in myself and others.

I intend to use what I learn in class constructively and defensively, to help myself and my fellow man and never to be abusive or offensive.

DEFINITIONS:

LINE 1:
Line 1 of the Student Creed means: "No Drugs, No Smoking, No Alcohol."

LINE 2:
Self Discipline is "Control gained by training". Discipline yourself to control your temper. When you get angry, count to 10 and cool off. If your mom asks you to clean your room, say yes ma'am and do it without a temper tantrum. If you have a test coming up in school, study for it and get a good grade. If you play a musical instrument, practice. If you are in gymnastics, you must practice. If you are a Martial Artist, you must practice.

LINE 3:
Line 3 of the Student Creed means: "Don't be a bully." Don't use your martial arts skills outside of the classroom unless absolutely necessary. Try to avoid conflicts and walk away if you can. Words can't hurt you.
